Article 1 DEFINITIONS

The Association Motocycliste de Pont-de-Vaux (A.M.P.V.), registered under number (to come), organizes within the framework of the 72 Hours of Pont-de-Vaux on August 20, 21, 22 and 23, 2026 an all-terrain QUAD sporting event, open to young people aged 9 to 15, called :

KIDSQUAD.

Held over 3 rounds, it is run solo.

This international event is registered on the FIM and FIM Europe calendars under the forthcoming IMN number, as well as on the F.F.M. calendar under the forthcoming number.

This event is defined by the present Special Regulations, the FFM Off-Road Endurance Safety Technical Rules and the F.I.M. Sporting Code.

The circuit is approximately 1.9 kilometers long. The track is 5 to 12 metres wide.
The maximum number of entries is 57.
Kids quad is an invitation-only event.

– Article 1.1 ELIGIBLE RIDERS

All riders holding an FFM NJ, NCO, LUE or Inter Jeune license are eligible to take part in this event.
Only riders holding an F.F.M license, valid national licenses from member countries of the European Union zone (LUE and F.I.M) and “1 manifestation LJA ” licenses are admitted; the latter is limited according to available places or in the event of an incomplete grid.

To obtain a one-day license, you need to be in possession of a medical certificate less than 1 year old stating that you are not contraindicated in the practice of motorcycle sport in competition.

The “ 1 event LJA ” license forms can be downloaded from the FFM website http://www.ffmoto.org/journee-licence.

Foreign national licenses outside the EU zone must be accompanied by an F.I.M. stamp and authorization to leave the country.

  • AGES and CYLINDERS

Compulsory engine sizes:
From age 9: 90cc 2T maximum 150cc 4T maximum
From age 12: 90cc 2T maximum 150cc 4T maximum
From age 13: 125cc 2T maximum 250cc 4T maximum
From age 15: 125cc 2T maximum 250cc 4T maximum

The minimum age limit begins on the rider’s birthday. For the maximum age limit, riders must be under 16. before August 23, 2026 (born before August 23, 2010).

– Article 1.2 COMMITMENT FEES (including race numbers)

Entry fees are set at 140 € INCL. VAT (One hundred and forty Euros)

You fill in your registration form according to the information you have on hand at the time, respecting all mandatory fields. Once you have paid for your entry, you can open your “registration” account and complete or modify certain information at any time until August 1, 2026 (except in cases of force majeure). Entries are limited to 57 crews. You can choose your race number from 1 to 57. For the first 10 numbers, the race number allocated corresponds to the place achieved the previous year, as far as possible. Your race number will be confirmed by the organizers, who will make the final decision.

Entries not accompanied by payment will not be considered.

The entry fee includes: race number, transponder rental, support and 3 badges/bracelets: 1 accompanying person, 1 mechanic, 1 signaller, and 1 vehicle pass.

All badges will be handed over to the designated team representative (see entry form) on arrival at 08:00 on Wednesday August 19, 2026.

Any person wishing to access the refreshment and/or signage area during the race must hold at least a “driver’s assistant” license (LAP, 45€ per year, or “LJP”, 20€ per event, an NCO sports license, etc.) or a manager’s license.

We would like to remind you that the organizing motorcycle club does not provide personal accident cover for non-members of the organization who are in the pit area.

In the event of withdrawal before the August1, 2026 deadline, entries will only be reimbursed on the basis of 50% of the total amount. After this date, the entry fee will not be reimbursed.

Should the event not take place due to force majeure, the organizers will not be held liable to competitors and entry fees will not be reimbursed.

– Article 1.3 ADMINISTRATIVE CONTROLS

Competitors must present the following documents:

  • Identity card or passport.
  • Handlebars (gold or silver) or C.A.S.M.
  • Parental consent.
  • For French and European competitors, Licence 2026
  • Medical certificate of fitness less than one year old for pilots taking out an event licence
  • Originals of all documents must be presented.
  • LOST OR STOLEN DECLARATIONS AND PHOTOCOPIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
– Article 1.4 TECHNICAL INSPECTIONS

All machines (as well as helmets and rider equipment: back, chest, elbow, knee and shoulder protection) must be inspected in accordance with the technical rules laid down by the FFM. Particular attention will be paid to noise levels.

– Article 1.5 NOISE CONTROL

In accordance with current FFM standards, limited to 109 decibels at 2 m. Any machine exceeding this limit will not be allowed to start. A deviation of 2Db from the value recorded at the time of inspection is permitted.

Article 3 REGULATIONS

– Article 3.1 MOTORCYCLES

ATTENTION The use of metal jerry cans is compulsory; plastic cans are forbidden for safety reasons.

Machines meeting the following standards will be accepted:
Definition: A quad is a four-wheeled vehicle with rear wheels mounted on the same rigid horizontal axle.
– Under no circumstances may the motor be located behind the rider.
– All differential transmission systems are forbidden.
– The choice of frame, engine and fuel tank location is up to you.
– Studded or chained tires are forbidden.
– Rims, whether front or rear, may not exceed 12 inches in diameter.
– Spoked wheels and carbon rims are forbidden.
– Overall width must not exceed 1300 mm, regardless of shock absorber compression, measured with the rider on the machine.
– The exhaust silencer must not protrude beyond the rear plumb line of the quad or a tangent vertical line.
– The back plate will be made of flexible plastic.
– The rider must be isolated from the rear wheels by two wings made of plastic or polyester, which may or may not be attached to each other.
– Chain drives must be fitted with a hard (Teflon-type, not aluminum) shoe at the bottom to protect the sprocket and disc. A bumper or buffalo guard must be fitted. In the case of a bumper, both ends must be rounded, minimum diameter: 15 mm
– A round protective tube (or nerf bar) with no protruding parts must be fitted on each side of the machine. It must be fixed at two points: one at the level of the lower suspension arm joint support, the other on the footrest support, and include metal straps or lattices fixed to the nerf bar and frame tubing. To prevent the rider’s foot from accidentally touching the ground.
– A circuit breaker interrupting the power supply must be connected to the pilot.
– Steering must be provided by the front wheels.
– Handlebars must be equipped with a padded crossbar protector. Handlebars without a crossbar must be fitted with a padded protector in the middle of the handlebar, covering the handlebar flanges to a large extent.
– The exposed ends of the handlebars must be plugged with a solid material, or covered with rubber.
– Mudguards must be made of flexible materials.
– All machines must be fuelled with unleaded fuel that complies with FIM specifications.
– Tank capacity may not exceed 22 liters for 2T or 4T engines.
– Fuel tanks must not be positioned at the front of the vehicle (in front of the handlebars)
– Tanks must not exceed the height of the handlebar mount.

Machine nameplates :

  • Machine nameplates must be of regulation dimensions.
  • The plates, the front one (supplied by the organization) and the two rear ones will have a yellow background (C0, M20, J100, N0), with matte black numbers.
  • Digit size: 14 cm high minimum
  • Dimension of the front plate 15 x 20 cm. The chosen location for this plate is on the front fairing and not on the front bumper. It is compulsory from the beginning to the end of the event.
  • Back plate size 23 x 28 cm. The rear plate must be perpendicular to the track axis. It must be made of a flexible, non-rigid material (metal is forbidden for safety reasons) and positioned as shown below. Numbers are affixed on the left and right sides, so as to be visible from both sides.

– Article 3.2 COMPETITORS’ EQUIPMENT

Clothing:
During activities, riders must wear a complete crossman or endurist outfit in resistant material covering the torso and arms, pants and gloves in resistant material and knee-high boots in leather or equivalent material.
Protective gear not bearing the FFM label must comply with the following standards:
– Back protector Standard EN 1621-2
– Chest protector Standard EN 14021 and EN 1621-3
– Integral vest (integrated chest and back protector) EN 14021 or EN 1621-3 for the chest protector and EN 1621-2 for the back protector.

Helmets:
Pilots must wear approved helmets during all activities.
Helmets must be correctly fastened, properly adjusted and in good condition. It must be fitted with a chinstrap fastening system.
All helmets must be marked with one of the following official international standards approval marks: FIM, Europe / ECE 22/05, Great Britain BSA and B, USA SNELL+2010 or Japan JLS.T8133 2007.
No protruding objects, lights, cameras, etc., may be placed on the helmet.
Helmets with an aerodynamic appendage (spoiler) are forbidden, except those originally approved with this accessory.

For eye protection, goggles, safety glasses and visors may be worn. Eye protection and goggles must be made of unbreakable safety material. Helmet visors must not be an integral part of the helmet.

Article 4 PRESENTATION TO THE PUBLIC IN CITIES

Riders taking part in the KIDS QUAD event are allowed to take part in the public presentation in town on Thursday afternoon and in the parade on Thursday evening. In the latter case, as this part of the event takes place at night, each machine must be equipped with a front headlight and a non-flashing rear light that is part of the quad and in working order. The color of the rear light must be red and visible from a safe distance. The Kids Quad will be placed at the front of the parade.

After administrative and technical checks, convoys are organized to take riders and quads to the town for presentation. At the end of the technical inspection, the machines are parked under the responsibility of the riders, awaiting departure in convoy on the orders of the organizer, supervised by organization vehicles.

Any rider who drives his quad into town, outside the convoy, will be penalized by the gendarmerie and the organization. It is strictly forbidden to use unapproved quads in the Pont-de-Vaux urban area and on public roads.

All drivers must be present at the presentation on Thursday evening. They are dressed in racing gear and helmets are mandatory. They take part in the presentation of the teams to the public on the podium from 3:30 to 4:30 pm. At the administrative check-in desk, the rider and his machine will be given an invitation stating the time of presentation on the podium.

Exiting the presentation podium and setting up in the main street of the town center, followed by the parade of quads and the return in convoy to the runners’ park, must be done with the helmet properly worn and with only one person on the quad (the rider only). Participation in the parade after the public presentation and the return to the circuit must take place in the convoy set up by the organizers.

Article 5 BRIEFING

All drivers must attend the briefing. Attendance may be checked. Venue and times are specified in the program (see schedule, appendix 1).

Article 7 RANKING OF THE EVENT

The overall classification of the event will be calculated by adding up the points obtained in each round. The rider with the most points will be declared the winner.

In the event of a tie, the competitor with the best place in the last heat is declared the winner of the event. This rule also applies to other ties.

Each round is considered to be an event in itself, and the points awarded for each round are :

– Article 7.2 PLACEMENT ON THE GRID

Under the orders of a marshal, the drivers leave the pit area in the order of the time trials and take their machines to the starting grid 10 minutes before the start of each heat.

ATTENTION Access to the track will be closed 5 minutes before the start of each heat.

No mechanical intervention or refuelling of any kind will be tolerated on the start line during this pre-grid period.

Only the starting driver and one accompanying person wearing a race number are allowed in the start area. All other crew members must remain behind the safety barriers.

The AMPV and its partners are awarding Cups, Trophies :

  • 1st,2nd,3rd Minimes (11/12yrs)
  • 1st,2nd,3rd Cadets (13/15 yrs)

Article 8 CHRONOMETERING BY TRANSPONDER

Transponders are used for timing. The cost of hiring transponders (€6 per event) is included in the entry fee.
Transponders will be distributed the day before and the morning of the event, and must be returned clean at the end of the last round of each event.
A €250 deposit is required to cover loss or damage to equipment.

Article 9 BEHAVIOR

All drivers taking part in an event are expected to behave correctly. They are responsible for those accompanying them, both on the circuit and around the site, before, during and after the event. As soon as a licence-holder is on a site as part of an organization, training or race, he or she must respect the instructions of the Organizers, the Race Director and the Event Delegate. No intervention by relatives or friends will be tolerated during an event.

Any competitor leaving his stand must drive at a slow speed (20 km/h maximum).

IT IS FORBIDDEN TO STOP ALONG THE PIT WALL. SIMILARLY, ALL TEAM MEMBERS ARE FORBIDDEN TO CROSS THE PIT WALL.

Reminder : smoking is strictly prohibited in the stands

– Article 9.1 ADVERTISING

In accordance with law 91-32, all advertising for tobacco or alcohol is forbidden on the circuit.

  • All advertising and promotional activities on the organization’s premises or in the vicinity of the circuit (stands, parks, track, village, etc.) must be agreed in advance with the Mondial du Quad advertising department. All advertising and promotional displays in and on the stands are strictly forbidden, unless expressly agreed by the organizer.
  • The parks reserved for competitors, assistance and firms are made available to enable them to take part in the event in the most satisfactory technical conditions possible. They may not be used for advertising, commercial or public relations purposes without the prior agreement of the organizer.
  • All aerial advertising, publicity, promotional or public relations activities in the airspace above the circuit and surrounding municipalities are strictly forbidden without the prior written consent of the Mondial du Quad advertising department manager and other competent administrative authorities.
  • Official race numbers must be worn and visible throughout the entire event, including all official ceremonies (podium, finish press conference, etc.). The race number is included in the entry fee and will be retained by the riders at the end of the race.

However, for promotional and press purposes, drivers may have their jerseys flocked with elements of the official race number, in full compliance with the specifications provided by the organizers in terms of positioning, color and dimensions. However, drivers must wear the race number in practice and during races.

Article 10 EXTRACT FROM THE ENVIRONMENT CODE

Competitors must comply with the environmental rules laid down by the organizer and provided for in the FFM regulations.

The Environmental Mat is compulsory for all disciplines.
It must be made up of an absorbent part and a waterproof part.
Its use will be compulsory wherever work on the motorcycle is authorized by the organizers.
The minimum technical data for the mat are :

  • Dimensions: 160 cm X 100 cm minimum
  • Absorption capacity: 1 liter minimum
  • Thickness: 5 to 7 mm minimum

Article 12 INSURANCE

The organizer has taken out insurance.
In the event of an accident, the cost of ambulance transport from the 12 Hours of Pont-de-Vaux (01) to the hospital will be borne by the participants.
For “one event” licenses issued by the FFM, foreign riders who are not nationals of a member country of the European Union do not benefit from any coverage attached to this license. During administrative checks, you can take out additional bodily injury cover. If you refuse, we ask you to sign a liability waiver.

Article 13 APPLICATION OF THIS REGULATION

Failure to comply with these rules may result in a penalty.
Competitors agree to abide by the rules and accept all clauses.
Any points not covered by these rules will be decided by the Jury, in accordance with the provisions of the reference texts
. They also agree to abide by the decisions taken by the organizers, and recognize as the sole sporting jurisdiction that established by the F.F.M. Sporting Code.
