Kenny Quad Contest

The Kenny Quad Contest:
—a blend of sprint and endurance—the stepping stone to the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS!

Nicknamed the “prelude to the World Championship,” the Kenny Quad Contest embodies the fundamentals of endurance racing, the central theme of the 72 Hours of Pont-de-Vaux.

This event also generates a great deal of excitement during registration, and 2026 is no exception. In fact, registration opened on Friday, November 28, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. and closed at midnight that same day; all 114 spots were already filled within six hours.

In 2026, the event will consist of three heats: 2 hours, 1 hour 15 minutes, and 45 minutes, for a total duration of 4 hours. There will be one heat each day of the event. With these specific durations for each heat, the first heat is essentially an “endurance” race, while thethird heat will test the drivers’ sprinting skills. The final standings are determined by the cumulative results across all heats.

The race takes place on the same track as the World Championship, which allows riders to familiarize themselves with the course in preparation for potentially entering the World Championship in future years.

The Kenny Quad Contest team consists of either a single rider or a duo, who will take turns riding.

The Kenny Quad Contest features several categories with their own specific awards in addition to the overall winner: para-sports, women’s, retro, veterans, under-16, and Ain residents (riders registered in the Ain department).
